Spot on for the write-up, I really believe this web site requires even more awareness. I’ll probably be once again to learn much more, thanks for your knowledge.

Hi there was just surfing through the net looking for some new learning articles when i discovered this post on reddit. I had to write you a comment to state that I really enjoyed this post. I cannot locate very much good quality anymore on the internet anymore with all the junk on the market so whenever I do discover a beneficial article I value it. Keep up the great work and I am absolutely sure this website is going to go a long ways and turn out to be very popular

Hi all,
With those white currants, we made a nice sauce to go on the steamed beans. The first time, I melted a small amount of coconut oil, mashed the currants into it, then made the mistake of adding some lemon juice. Yikes! I hadn't thought to taste the currants beforehand, and assumed they'd be sweet! So no lemon juice necessary.

The second time we made a sauce with the currants, we cooked them with some maple syrup.

Kinda fun, eh, experimenting with new foods like this? ;-)

Sorry Sylvia, the box was already packed. You don't like basil? No pesto? Too bad. For us, basil and pesto is the taste of summer.

Hi Derek
This week's box is sure looking heavy on the herbs. We just can't use that many (and I don't even like cilantro or basil :-) If this catches you in time before harvest, please hold back on the herbs so that they don't end up unused.

Recipe provided by Sylvia:

RHUBARB CUSTARD

Butter a 2 or 3 quart casserole. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

4 cups rhubarb (about 4 stalks), chopped into ½ inch pieces (and a few berries, if available)
5 eggs
2 cup milk, warmed slightly
2 tbsp melted butter
¾ cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
½ tsp each ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon

Place rhubarb in casserole. In blender, beat eggs until fluffy, add milk and melted butter, and blend for a minute more. Add dry ingredients and blend until well mixed.
Pour over rhubarb, and bake for one hour.

I adapted this recipe from my Mom’s wonderful Rhubarb Custard Meringue Pie. Delicious this way too, and skips the pastry!

Great idea Derek!
Wild that people would freak out and accuse you of theft and threaten to call the cops! At the recycle there is always a huge pile of the signs after elections. Some campaigns collect them up for reuse but repurposing is better than recycling. Meanwhile some of these folks should maybe get a life! Beisdes the RCMP will be busy locking up folks with 5 or more pot plants on their back 40 and have not time for major crimes like repurposing signs that have been handed over by campaign folks, picked up at the recycle or resold on Ebay. Sheesh!
I will contact you in a couple of months looking for some carrots.
Cheers!
